Santa Cruz Mountains is known for its quintessential Cabernet Sauvignon. This fruit is sourced from the steep hillside of JANACA Vineyard on Mt. Madonna in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA. Its what Cabernet is all about. Rich flavors of plum and blackberries with juniper, nutmeg, clove balanced by acidity and tannins which arise from the proximity to the ocean. Classic Cabernet in every sense.
This wine is from the Santa Lucia Highlands KW Ranch Vineyard. A rich and lush Pinot Noir with black cherries, plum, nutmeg, clove, anise and rhubarb with tannin structure that fills your mouth from the 50% whole cluster fermentation. A mixture of 667 and Pommard 4 clones work together to accentuate each others characters; the fruitiness of the 667 and the earthiness of the Pommard 4.
These Riesling grapes are sourced from the rocky river bed of the Arroyo Seco. The rocky soil allows for great drainage and minerality that is pervasive in this wine. This Riesling is screamin' dry. Big acid, bright minerality, grapefruit and lemon with a hint of flowers.
A spicy Grenache from the gravely soils of the Arroyo Seco, with fresh fruit compote of berries, plum, and black cherries with nutmeg and black pepper. You really taste the warm rocks of the Arroyo in the rich fruit with the structural support of the whole cluster.
