The touch of 828 Clone Pinot Noir to the Clone 96 Chardonnay base synergistically add a juiciness to the mid-palate that makes you want to take another sip! Clone 96 Chardonnay has a round honey-dew melon mouth feel and with the addition of pinot makes you think you are biting into a fresh Fuji apple. This sparkling wine is make using the classic Methode Champenoise, fermented in the bottle.
This Riesling is on fire! Big acid, bright minerality, grapefruit and lemon with a hint of flowers. There is no residual sugar in this wine so it is not sweet at all, it is completely dry. From the rocky, loamy Kristy’s Vineyard.
Cherries and berries! This juicy Pinot from near the top of the SLH bench shows the classic fruit of the AVA with nutmeg, clove and cedar.
The initial bouquet presents balanced notes of dark plum melded with herbaceous undertones of trailside anise, bay laurel and redwood duff. The attack on the palate leads with earthy prevalence reminiscent of the nose and evolves into clove spiced red cherry. Medium acid blends well with soft but evident tannins, finishing with morel mushrooms on the forest floor after rain.
This single varietal Grenache sparks with nutmeg, clove, anise and black cherries will make your meal sing! The versatility of Grenache allows this wine to be paired with a varitey of proteins from seafood to beef. Approachable on all levels!
From the steep hillsides of JANACA Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains comes a berry and spice driven Cabernet in the classic sense. Boysenberry, black berry and juniper berry are rounded out with hints of nutmeg and szechuan pepper corns!
These two Northern Rhone varietals grown in Carmel Valley from the Paloma Creek Vineyard are traditionally blended together. The slightly crisp nature of Marsanne with white nectarine, quince & lemon balance out the creamy Roussanne with fig, peach, pear and a little nuttiness.
With aromas of fresh cut spruce, The Syrah from the fields of San Saba Vineyard, contributes flavors of fresh blueberries, black peppercorn, and captivating red currant. Balanced with Grenache from Arroyo Seco, presents hints of dark cherries, juniper berries and floral aromas. Producing the perfect blend for any occasion.
Classic Bordeaux blend from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Cab Sauvignon and Cab Franc from the steep slopes of Janaca Vineyard. Merlot harvested from the high elevation of the Zayante Vineyard. Black berries, blueberries with hints of juniper & spices all come together in this blend, creating a sophisticated and age worthy bottle to enjoy now or in the future.
